Change can be strategic or tactical or somewhere in between. We work with businesses to design and implement change. In our experience we have found that companies implementing change often put the cart before the horse. In practice, this means many companies try to make change without first asking what is it that they want to change. This is where strategy comes in.
Before making any change – big or small – it’s always useful to re-visit or re-confirm your existing strategy. This does not need to be a difficult exercise. Our philosophy on strategy is to keep it simple.
Once you do the strategy check this is where implementation comes in. For implementation, we have two approaches – formal and informal. For the formal approach we use the Balanced Scorecard. It’s simple to follow and easy to implement. For the informal approach, we use project/program management.
Either way, we work with businesses to design an implementation approach which best suits the organization and its culture.
